Buying or selling a home in the winter isn’t as bad of an idea as you might think. Here are some benefits to this type of situation.
I get why people aren’t always interested in selling their home in the winter. Many of them want to wait until spring or summer when there are more buyers out there, but a lot of those buyers end up being unqualified. In the winter, however, the buyers you get are usually qualified.
Yes, it might be a little cold outside, but it’s not cold inside. From a Realtor’s perspective, this is a fantastic time to get a home sold. When a talented, licensed Realtor comes in to give you a CMA, you’re going to get a fair market value range for your home. Selling right in the middle of that range will ensure the fastest sale.
Waiting until spring will bring more buyers, but it will also bring more sellers. I’ve found that people who are buying or selling during the winter are much more serious than those out there in the spring and summer.
